The play was created based on the post-apocalyptic novel by Jeanne DuPrau "The City of Ember: Escape". The plot of the play develops as an underground city is running out of electricity. For us this factor became a technical and conceptual solution, aesthetically framing the whole performance. Mass choreographic, theatrical and vocal compositions were merged on stage into a single living mechanism of the "City of Ember".
